WORKSHOPS FORMING – Aiming for June 2012
Makeup to Go’s Lessons for Aspiring Artists™ service was born out of calls from aspiring artists wanting to learn Makeup for Photography directly from a working artist. In response, we offer both Individual Lessons and Workshops to fit your budgetary and learning style needs. We Are Not A School. These classes are makeup intensives designed to offer either a comprehensive introduction to the profession of Media Makeup Artistry or a jump-start to previous education/experience. The classes are designed for both the complete novice artist or an artist who has been working in the salon, spa or bridal/events areas of makeup who would like to move their career towards makeup for photography. Both 8 hour classes are available in the Los Angeles Metro and SF Bay Metro areas and feature hands-on instruction including (but not limited to…. see specific course curriculum for details);
• Kit Supply Basics and Product Overview
• Introduction to color theory & lighting basics
• Basic Beauty/Corrective Makeup
LUNCH 
• Brows and Eyes – tools and techniques
• Overview of makeup for People of Color
• Intro to Advance Makeup Technique
• Beauty Biz Primer™
What’s The Difference?
• Individual lessons – Allows you one-on-one access to studying with a working, professional artist.
• Individual lessons – Allows the student to get through more material more quickly and more thoroughly because time is not shared with other students.
• Individual lessons – Are brought to you in the location of your choice.
• Individual lessons – Are completely customizable.
• Individual lessons – Available continuously, can be booked at any time in both Los Angeles and the SF Bay area.
• Workshops – Are less costly.
• Workshops – Unique teaching method in order to better refine students skills quickly.
• Workshops – Many students find they work better when working alongside fellow students.
• Workshops – Location and many (not all) supplies are provided.
• Workshops – Offered periodically, generally twice per year (once per year in the Los Angeles area).
Whichever method you chose, our lessons are designed for you to enter this profession with eyes wide open and armed with knowledge. Continued mentorship is available afterwards as well.
